Dahuangyu Lighting Co., a renowned Chinese innovator in fishery lighting solutions, has successfully exported 300 high-performance LED fish aggregating devices (FADs) to Indonesia. These energy-efficient lamps, designed to attract fish while minimizing environmental impact, will support Indonesian coastal fisheries in improving nighttime operation efficiency and reducing fuel costs.
The shipment underscores growing demand for sustainable fishing technologies in Southeast Asia. Indonesian fisheries authorities have welcomed the partnership, noting the devices’ potential to increase catches by up to 30% while reducing bycatch. Dahuangyu’s patented blue-spectrum LED technology mimics natural underwater light, proven effective for tuna, squid, and small pelagic species.
"This export represents our commitment to global marine sustainability," said Dahuangyu’s CEO. "We’re proud to help Indonesian fishermen work smarter, not harder." The company plans after-sales support including local technician training in Lampung and Java.
Industry analysts highlight this deal as part of China’s increasing exports of specialized aquaculture equipment, with the Asia-Pacific FAD market projected to grow 12% annually through 2028.
